Towards a Method that Unifies Disciplines

ree

What problem are we experiencing?

If you are an educator, teacher or professional in other sectors, you will know very well that there is a crippling gap: having a limited vision of problems. I'll explain what I mean with a personal example.

I happened to go beyond the surface, to see something more in others, in what surrounded me. I understood that there was one fact, that for me everything is interconnected... but I thought I was the only one who thought this way.

When we talked about some topic, I ranged across various disciplines.

Has this ever happened to you? Switch from psychology, philosophy, art or other disciplines of interest to you. Maybe sometimes you got lost. A characteristic which, however, determined a creative, broad vision of the themes.

In fact, those around me couldn't keep up with me. Not because he wasn't capable, but because this approach to life was missing.

It's a consequence that happens for a reason.

Trained students

Education accustoms us to separating disciplines, to approaching them in watertight compartments. Instead, the beauty of the things that surround us is dictated by their interconnection.

What does it mean to unite? How do your thoughts connect to mine? Why do things influence each other?

After school, those like me who see reality in this way feel disoriented. The difficulty lies in making oneself understood by others, in finding the same open-mindedness. It is curiosity that pushes us to broaden our views.

What does the school do?

It forces us to think alone, to work alone, and when we find ourselves facing complex problems we remain disoriented. It's like solving a problem that involves knowing Italian, Russian and Chilean but we only know one of these languages.

If you are reading this article, perhaps like me you feel like you speak multiple languages. When communicating with a team, or your friends, you found the opposite.

The solution is close, and it consists in developing open, flexible and group thinking.

Otherwise we will be sucked into the challenges of current society.

That's why Grautivity

Grautivity was born from me and 5 other professionals, animated by the desire to show how phenomena, especially in education, must be understood across multiple disciplines. Our intention is to remind people like you that your way of thinking is the solution.

A human being is a mix of medicine, psychology, biology, neuroscience, pedagogy, philosophy, music and much more. The union between them is comparable to a birth, where new connections are born.

Our aim is exactly this: to bring interdisciplinary thinking, where each professional provides his vision of the problems, crossing it with that of others

We are not made of just one thing, but many connected facets, which can be browsed like a book made up of many different authors.

Let's take an example.

You get a case of autism in the classroom. Out of the blue you appeal to previously read manuals on what autism is, what it causes, etc. But then you see that based on the context the person changes, based on their development, the surrounding environment.

Who are the people involved? How do they set up their communication? How does the child react? What stimuli are there around? What era of history are we in?

Anxiety? These are the questions that should be asked in a complex case

The consequences of our system. They tell us what it means to be performative, but they don't tell us what it means to be human.

Do you find yourself there?

In recent years in Italy, a high rate of depression, loneliness and school dropout has been recorded. This happens because people no longer know who they are, what moves them and in particular they do not know how to collaborate.

Curiosity is extinguished, creativity too, the desire to understand each other's opinions.

Yet the best results, in companies and various studies in schools, have been achieved thanks to collaboration.

Attention, do not work side by side, separately, but together.

Instead, we get used to solving problems on our own, not questioning ourselves, making future generations pay dearly for this attitude.

So what? What do we propose?

We organize weekly virtual salons, where pairs of professionals with different knowledge dialogue around common themes. In closing the round of contents, I will take care of uniting what has been said in a synthesis, that is, in an organic whole.

Our goal is to bring teachers, educators, students and professionals to emerge, to bring out the true potential of themselves and others. We believe in group sharing, in uniting different minds.

We are tired of seeing people who limit themselves due to stereotypes, who no longer believe in themselves and think that the world is colored grey.

Towards a new educational method

We are moving towards a new educational method, which allows us to include near and distant fields of study, capable of helping students, professors and professionals to expand their knowledge of both themselves and others. You will explore with me behind the scenes, what I study, how I study it and how I connect to diversity. Furthermore, we save you the effort of searching the chaos of the internet for essential information.

On the site you even have a "community" space at your disposal, where you can propose topics to discuss, make reflections and useful ideas.
